Citrix heeft voor zijn virtualistatie omgeving XenServer een update uitgebracht met 5.0 Update 3 als de versieaanduiding. Deze virtualisatie omgeving is gebaseerd op Xen en voegt daar handige tools aan toe om de mogelijkheden uit te breiden en het beheer eenvoudiger te maken. Met deze update wordt voornamelijk de licentie wijziging die eind februari werd aangekondigd ingevoerd.

Who should install this update?

This update is recommended for all customers and enables the recently-announced licensing changes on existing customer systems. Please be sure to install the new XenCenter version available from the download page before attempting to install this update.

If you are installing a fresh XenServer 5 system or upgrading an existing XenServer 4.x system, please use the updated installation CDs that have been made available from the My Citrix downloads section; these CDs include all hardware support updates that have been part of the XenServer 5 update series and enable these updates during installation. This patch is designed for use on existing XenServer 5 systems.
