Dynamic Storage Technology

Novell Archive and Version Services

Novell Archive and Version Services allows individual users to instantly restore previous versions of modified, renamed or deleted network files. It enables user self-service and frees the helpdesk and system administrators to focus on other critical IT issues. Users can simply view a list of previous interval-based versions of source files, select the file needed and recover it. Users can even access file versions online with just a Web browser.

The software you can download is the complete Novell Open Enterprise Server 2, with full functionality. As you install it, you are required to accept an end user license agreement (EULA). Your rights to use the product are limited to the rights set forth in the EULA.

Novell Open Enterprise Server 2—Linux requires codes for both OES 2 and SLES to enable Web downloads of system patches and updates. Both activation codes are good for 60 days. To continue receiving patches and updates after the activation codes expire, you must purchase OES and configure the system with a the activation codes. SLES 10 codes are good for one year. OES 2 codes do not expire. Notifications are sent to your registered e-mail address so that you can update your annual SLES subscriptions before they expire.
