Met Novell Access Manager 3.1 is er een nieuwe versie van dit programma voor webtoegangsbeheer verschenen. Versie 3.1 is op rollen gebaseerd en biedt nu ondersteuning voor WS-Federation. Dit laatste door gebruik te maken van Novell’s technische samenwerking met Microsoft. Dat stelt organisaties in staat om gemakkelijk en veilig data te delen in heterogene it-omgevingen. Security managers hebben nu de mogelijkheid om niet-Windows gebruikers toegang te geven webgebaseerde producten van Microsoft zoals Microsoft Office SharePoint.

Novell GroupWise® Mobile Server 3 enables customers to synchronize e-mail, appointments, tasks, contacts and notes between GroupWise and hundreds of mobile devices. This capability is the result of a partnership between Novell and Nokia* Corporation to integrate Intellisync’s wireless "push" e-mail and Personal Information Management (PIM) synchronization technology with GroupWise.
